The Sakata brand was under increasing pressure due to aggressive new competitors entering the market. We created a contemporary new pack design that highlighted Sakata’s playful personality and injected excitement back into the category.
The use of playful graphics around the product to call out the unique health benefits of the Sakata rice cracker combined with reinforcing the brands quality credentials with an emphasis on the Australian made message were key to engaging the consumer.
The overall result of the relaunch reinstated Sakata as the market leader and its true iconic presence as Australia’s favourite rice cracker.
